MICEX is interested in buying the largest Ukrainian stock exchange PFTS
September 30, 2009 – 11:42 pmMICEX is interested in buying Ukrainian stock exchange PFTS about this today, “Interfax said the vice president of ZAO MICEX Eugene Hellenistic.
According to him, the preferred option for the MICEX would be to acquire a controlling stake in the PFTS, and not a minority. In this case the MICEX will become a strategic investor in PFTS, but proposals for the purchase of Ukrainian in the MICEX Stock Exchange has yet been received.
PFTS Stock Exchange is the largest in Ukraine in terms of transactions. Following eight months of 2009 the turnover on the exchange amounted to 7.6 billion hryvnia, which is 55,6% of the total organized market of the country.
