Obama is asked to review the number of additional troops being sent to Afghanistan

This is including the number of troops present in Afghanistan, namely the possibility of sending to the country less than 40 thousand troops requested by the military leader of the country, General Stanley MakKristalom. This writes The Washington Post.
Obama held a 90-minute discussion with the Joint Chiefs of Staff, on Friday at the White House and requested a further meeting before the announcement of the decision to dispatch additional troops to Afghanistan, the newspaper said, citing unnamed sources.
Chiefs of Staff, who represent the Army, Navy, Air Force, did not participate in the recent council of war in Afghanistan, the publication adds.
