Foreign Minister of Italy: visas between the EU and Russia could be lifted in 2010

According to Frattini, now, any of the 27 EU member states can veto and block any decision, but in the future abolition between Russia and the EU will be possible, since the issue will be decided by qualified majority. Russia could gain a majority, of course, there are those countries that opposed closer cooperation with Russia, and they will have to be persuaded, added the Foreign Minister of Italy.

Head of the Italian Foreign Ministry also said in an interview that Russia should be stronger involved in economic and political issues, in particular, of combating international terrorism, the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan and the Middle East crisis.
