Oracle Corp. will open its representative office in Belarus

Corp. Oracle – the world’s largest producer of corporate software – will soon open a representative office in Belarus, announced today at a press conference, Vice-President of the corporation, the general director of Oracle CIS Boris Shcherbakov, said Belarus and Russia.

According to him, opening an office in Minsk will be the next step in the strategy of the corporation expanding its presence in the CIS market and strengthen cooperation with leading organizations in Belarus.

“Among the priorities of the new structure – raising awareness of Belarusian users on the latest technologies, solutions and services, Oracle, expanding a network of partners” – Boris Shcherbakov said.

He stressed that the corporation appreciates the scientific and industrial potential of Belarus and is ready to offer new IT-technology solutions for IT-tasks and improve the competitiveness of Belarusian enterprises.

Oracle intends to participate in the development of training programs in the field of IT-technology for higher education institutions in Belarus. In particular, cooperation in this field to be installed with the Belarusian State University. “Through this program universities will produce not only professionals but also good practice”, – said Boris Shcherbakov.

Oracle Corp. is the market of Belarus for more than 20 years. Its customers include more than 300 enterprises from the public, financial, industrial, telecommunications, scientific and design organizations, energy companies and oil and gas industry, transport companies. Among them, the State Customs Committee, Ministry of Taxation, Finance, National Bank and others.

Oracle offers a full range of services to sell software, technical support, training, kolsaldingu, the introduction of business proposals. In the 2008 fiscal year sales corporations amounted to $22.4 billion, Oracle is working with 300 thousand customers worldwide.
