Nicolas Sarkozy may visit the Middle East with a mediation mission
December 31, 2008 – 11:00 pmFrench President Nicolas Sarkozy is planning on 5 January 2009. to come to Jerusalem for talks on the situation created around the Gaza Strip in connection with the start of Israeli military operations against the movement “Hamas”.
According to Israeli media, Sarkozy is going to meet with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, reports Associated Press.
