Toyota cut production of cars in the 2009 fiscal year by 20%

Japanese avtokontsern Toyota plans to cut production of cars in the 2009 fiscal year at all its factories in Japan and abroad by 20% and bring it to a level of 6.2 million vehicles. The plan, reported on Saturday, ITAR-TASS news agency in the National Association of automotive companies, «was approved in a closed production meeting held yesterday in the city of Nagoya in the central headquarters of the group». It was attended by representatives of 450 major enterprises of the corporation and its «smezhnikov».
